This is a nice story about change and finding a way to cope with it. I enjoyed meeting Pennie. Through her trials she shows herself to be vulnerable. I thought she very much seems like a writer, but I could understand the desire to be more bouncy and energetic. She does push herself to try new things (even though sometimes that stems from a lie, which gets her to centre-stage without her wanting to be there!) I'd love to read more about Pennie, as she discovers who she is and how to accept and love the shy reader/writer who prefers NOT to sing. =)
